SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois 
3
learned with sadness of the recent death of Thomas Merschantz; 
4
and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Mr. Merschantz, age 47, was an employee of 
6
Stickney Township Maintenance Department; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Thomas Merschantz was the son of the late Richard 
8
and Lorraine Merschantz; the father of Richard Merschantz; the 
9
brother of Cynthia (Keith) Ellis; the uncle of Kimberly 
10
(Robert) Cyze and Karen and Ryan Ellis; the great-uncle of 
11
Nicholas and Madison; the nephew of John Merschantz; the 
12
ex-husband and friend of Joanna Brooks; and the friend of Tim 
13
Ott, John Kman, and many, many more; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL 
15
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
16
Thomas Merschantz and extend our sincerest condolences to his 
17
family, friends, and community; and be it further

 
18
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19
presented to his family as an expression of our deepest 
20
sympathy.
