| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Ruth Greer of Metropolis; |
4 |
| and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Greer was a member of St. Rose of Lima |
6 |
| Catholic Church; she was a volunteer with Massac Memorial |
7 |
| Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and American Heritage Homemakers; |
8 |
| and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Greer retired from Metropolis Good Luck Glove |
10 |
| Factory as a seamstress and from Elder-Berman Department Store |
11 |
| where she did alterations; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and |
13 |
| Sophia (Zimmer) Shelter, her husband, Arnie Greer, her brother, |
14 |
| Jack Shetler, and an infant brother; and |
15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Ruth Greer has been deeply felt by |
16 |
| many, especially her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Wanda |
17 |
| Greer; her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Neil Wagner; her |
18 |
| four grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren, her sister |
19 |
| and brother-in-law, Glenda and Harold Mescher; her brother and |
20 |
| sister-in-law, Bob and Imogene Shelter; her sister-in-law, |
21 |
| Olla Shelter; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Ruth Greer, and we extend our sincerest condolences to her |
25 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
26 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
29 |
| sympathy for their loss.
