| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the recent death of Attilio "Red" |
4 |
| Calcaterra of Herrin; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Calcaterra was born May 25, 1912, in Herrin, |
6 |
| to Angelo and Jennie (Rogers) Calcaterra; he married Grace |
7 |
| (Moroni) in Herrin on May 4, 1944; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Attilio was retired from Zwick and Goldsmith Men's |
9 |
| Clothing store in Herrin; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, He was a World War II veteran, serving in the |
11 |
| United States Navy; he was a former member of the American |
12 |
| Legion; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Calcaterra was a member of Our Lady of Mount |
14 |
| Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin and also was a member of the |
15 |
| Knights of Columbus; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Attilio "Red" Calcaterra has been |
17 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Grace; his son, |
18 |
| Dennis (Ruth); his granddaughter, Kathryn Calcaterra; and his |
19 |
| three sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas, Eva (DeLoyd) Litton, and |
20 |
| Edith (Richard) Leck; he was preceded in death by his parents |
21 |
| and an infant brother, Paul; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Attilio "Red" Calcaterra, and we extend our deepest sympathy to |
25 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincere |
