| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Sam Smith of Jonesboro |
| 4 |
| on Monday, October 3, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Sam Smith was born on November 21, 1974 to Jim and |
| 6 |
| Betty Shepard Smith in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Sam Smith has been deeply felt by |
| 8 |
| many, especially his parents; his sister, Sandra (Charles) |
| 9 |
| Clements; his brother, Scott (Shawna) Smith; his niece, Katie |
| 10 |
| Smith; his nephews, Jimmy Dodson, Gene Smith, Floyd Smith, and |
| 11 |
| Stephen Smith; and many other relatives and friends; therefore, |
| 12 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 15 |
| Sam Smith, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, |
| 16 |
| friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 19 |
| sympathy.
