| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Phyllis J. Schwegel of |
4 |
| Alton on September 9, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Schwegel was born November 13, 1936, in |
6 |
| Alton, to Gerald and Rose (Kulp) Eppel; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, She married Robert "Bud" Schwegel on April 22, |
8 |
| 1957; they shared their life and their business, Schwegel's |
9 |
| Grocery, in a partnership for nearly 50 years; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Phyllis Schwegel is felt by all who |
11 |
| knew and loved her, especially her husband; her son and |
12 |
| daughter-in-law, Mike and Sarah Schwegel; her daughters and |
13 |
| sons-in-law, Pamela and Rick Alexander, Lorrie and Sam |
14 |
| Laughlin, Theresa and Mark Crowson, and Monica and Brian |
15 |
| Campbell; her grandchildren and their spouses, Eileen and Andy |
16 |
| Wellinghoff, Chris O'Neill, Nick Laughlin and Kelly Laughlin, |
17 |
| Nathan and Sarah Crowson, Adam Schwegel, and Josh Alexander; |
18 |
| her great-grandson, A.J. Wellinghoff; her brother and |
19 |
| sister-in-law, Keith and Rene Eppel; and her other extended |
20 |
| family and many friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Phyllis Schwegel and extend our sincerest condolences to her |
24 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
26 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
27 |
| sympathy.
