SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of John A. Hunter Jr. of Glen
4 Carbon on Monday, September 19, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Hunter was born on July 24, 1942, in St.
6 Louis, Missouri; he was a graduate of Southern Illinois
7 University Edwardsville; he married Carol Bunte Brendle on June
8 4, 1983, in Edwardsville; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He was president of Cassens Insurance Agency in
10 Edwardsville, where he worked for 41 years; he was a former
11 member of the Edwardsville Jaycees, and past president of the
12 Edwardsville Rotary Club and Edwardsville District 7 School
13 Board, and he was a member of the Edwardsville District 7
14 Foundation; he was a past president of Edwardsville YMCA and
15 was a member of the foundation committee, a member of the Board
16 of Directors for Bank of Edwardsville, a member of the SIU
17 Alumni Foundation, and a member of Eden United Church of Christ
18 in Edwardsville; and
 
19     WHEREAS, The passing of John A. Hunter Jr. has been deeply
20 felt by many, especially his wife, Carol; his children, Cole
21 (Laura) Hunter, Kelley (David) Middleton, and Erin (Dan)
22 Carpenter; his mother, Edna Marie, nee Kettenbrink, Hunter; his
23 stepson, Christopher Brendle; his grandchildren, Ryleigh
24 Hunter, Brad and Quinn Middleton, and London and Preston
25 Carpenter; his brother, Richard C. (Charlene) Hunter; his
26 nephew, Robb (Allison) Hunter; and his niece, Jill (Jerry)
27 Zachies; he was preceded in death by his father, John A. Hunter
28 Sr.; therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
31 John A. Hunter Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences to

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
