| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with regret of the death of Rosetta Lucas of Waukegan |
4 |
| on Tuesday, September 20, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lucas was born in Greenville, Mississippi, on |
6 |
| January 12, 1941, to William and Alberta Clinton; she was a |
7 |
| current member of Brothers after the order of Jesus Orthodox |
8 |
| Church; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, William |
10 |
| and Alberta Clinton; her brothers, William "Monk", George |
11 |
| Clinton, Ross Adams, and Jessie Clinton; her aunt, Magnolia |
12 |
| Lampkins; her uncles, Levi West and Reverend William Ivy |
13 |
| Jenkins; and her cousin, O.C. Cobwell; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Rosetta Lucas has been deeply felt |
15 |
| by many, especially her sons, Rueben, George, and Robert Lucas; |
16 |
| her daughter, Andrea Lucas; her former husband, George W. |
17 |
| Lucas; her granddaughters, Frankie and Alexandra Lucas; her |
18 |
| sister; her uncles, Willie Riddly and Lewis Lampkins; and her |
19 |
| many special cousins, the Clintons, and many more nephews and |
20 |
| nieces; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Rosetta Lucas, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
24 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
25 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
28 |
| sympathy.
