| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Cobra L. Hunley on |
4 |
| September 11, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Hunley was born on June 5, 1953, to the late |
6 |
| Reverend Earnest Hunley and Janie Mae Hunley; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, He attended Hales Franciscan High School where he |
8 |
| excelled as a football player, graduating in 1971; he continued |
9 |
| his education and received his degree from National-Louis |
10 |
| University; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He devoted his time helping children; he worked as |
12 |
| a grammar school teacher for approximately five years then |
13 |
| began a career of 27 years with the Department of Children and |
14 |
| Family Services; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, He attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church; |
16 |
| he was known by family and friends as "Coby" and enjoyed |
17 |
| providing good music to his family and friends; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Cobra Hunley is felt by all who |
19 |
| knew and loved him, especially his wife, Genevieve (Jeannie); |
20 |
| his sons, Loren Steve (Saine) and Marshon (Tonya); his |
21 |
| daughters, Sharon (Eric) and Nikki; his siblings, Estella |
22 |
| (Leroy), Harold D. (Mary), and Ernestine; his aunts, Effie, |
23 |
| Katie, and Geraldine; his uncles, Robert and Rufus; his |
24 |
| grandchildren, Anthony, Jasmine, Sam, Rhyan, and Eric; and a |
25 |
| host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends; |

| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
