| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with great sadness of the death of Sharon R. Calderone, |
4 |
| nee Goshen, of Forest Park on Wednesday, July 27, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Calderone was a longtime resident of Forest |
6 |
| Park, where she was the owner of Short Stop Lounge for 33 |
7 |
| years; she was a devoted community member serving the PTA of |
8 |
| Garfield School, and was a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den |
9 |
| Mother, and Secretary of the Oak Park Coin Club for more than |
10 |
| 30 years; she served very capably as the Treasurer of the |
11 |
| Forest Park Liquor Dealers Assoc.; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, She was the recipient of Sheriff Sheehan's Senior |
13 |
| Medal of Honor, a member of St. Bernardine's Women's Club, and |
14 |
| a member of the Moose; as a young adult, she was a Job's |
15 |
| Daughter; she lived a remarkable life serving her husband, |
16 |
| children, and her many extended family members; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Sharon R. Calderone has been deeply |
18 |
| felt by many, especially her children, Anne (Ron) Fenske, Wilma |
19 |
| (Tony) Hudman, Anthony (Lois), Harry, Sharon (Rick) Busenbark, |
20 |
| Dorothy (Matt) Bentel, and David (Barb); her 18 grandchildren; |
21 |
| and her three great-grandchildren; she was the fond sister of |
22 |
| the late Harry Jr. and David (Ella Mae) Goshen and the beloved |
23 |
| friend of Rita Ewalt; she was preceded in death by her husband, |
24 |
| August; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
26 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
27 |
| Sharon R. Calderone, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her |
28 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
29 |
| further
