| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of James J. Bonarigo of |
4 |
| Lansing, Illinois, on Thursday, August 25, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bonarigo valiantly served his country and was |
6 |
| a decorated U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II; he served as a |
7 |
| radioman from 1943 to 1946; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a lead vocalist and drummer in numerous |
9 |
| bands in the Chicago area for 30 years; he was active in State |
10 |
| politics beginning in 1969 and served as a State Investigator |
11 |
| and later was an aide to the Cook County State's Attorney; he |
12 |
| retired from Central Management Services; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bonarigo was an avid fisherman and enjoyed |
14 |
| watching his grandsons play baseball; he was a member of St. |
15 |
| Ann Church; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of
James J. Bonarigo
has been deeply |
17 |
| felt by many, especially his children, Theresa Tate and Frank |
18 |
| (Wendy) Bonarigo; his grandsons, Frank and Nick Bonarigo; and |
19 |
| his sister, Josephine Sansone; he was preceded in death by his |
20 |
| sisters, Bertha (Steve) Mangione, Frances (Salvadore) |
21 |
| LaSchiava, Mamie (Roy DiNova) Girvako, and Carmella (Ken) |
22 |
| Krueger; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
24 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
25 |
| James J. Bonarigo, and we extend our sincere condolences to his |
26 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
27 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
29 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
