| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Dorothy (Stringer) Robey |
4 |
| of Benton on August 3, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Robey was born October 29, 1915, in Benton, |
6 |
| to Ewell and Etta (Pilson) Stringer; she married Rev. Melvin |
7 |
| Robey on February 26, 1938; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a homemaker and served with her husband in |
9 |
| his ministry at many churches throughout the states; she was a |
10 |
| member of New Life Church of God; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her |
12 |
| husband; her brother, Gene Stringer; her nephew, Damon |
13 |
| Galloway; and other nephews; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Dorothy Robey is felt by all who |
15 |
| knew and loved her, especially her nephews, Jerry Stringer and |
16 |
| wife Nancy, Don Robey and wife Jo, and Marvin Robey and wife |
17 |
| Mary; her nieces, Juva Wynn and husband Mack and Rosie Evans |
18 |
| and husband Kenneth; her great-nieces and great-nephews; and |
19 |
| her special cousin, Jo Ann Richardson and husband Ray; |
20 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Dorothy Robey and extend our sincerest condolences to her |
24 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
26 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
27 |
| sympathy.
