| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Ken J. Boyer of Jackson, |
4 |
| Missouri, formerly of Anna, on August 5, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Boyer was born September 20, 1937, in Anna, to |
6 |
| Lawrence A. and Mae Pitts Boyer; he married Jo Wenger; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School |
8 |
| and Southern Illinois University Carbondale; he was a veteran |
9 |
| of the United States Army; he was president and chief |
10 |
| operations officer of Work Force Investment Board of Southeast |
11 |
| Missouri and active in other civic affairs; he was a member of |
12 |
| First Baptist Church of Anna; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Ken Boyer is felt by all who knew |
14 |
| and loved him, especially his wife of 42 years, Jo; his son, |
15 |
| Scott Andrew Boyer; his daughter, Stacey and husband Larry |
16 |
| George; his brother, Lawrence J. Boyer; his sister, Virginia |
17 |
| and husband Ernest Boyd; his grandchildren, Kyle, Adriana, and |
18 |
| Kaelyn; and his other relatives and many friends; therefore, be |
19 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
22 |
| Ken Boyer and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, |
23 |
| friends, and community; and be it further
|
24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
25 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
26 |
| sympathy.
