| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Rhea G. Vroman of Wood |
4 |
| River on Sunday, August 21, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on July 28, 1910, in Bunker Hill to |
6 |
| James and Rosa (Mamie) Grant; she married Truman Vroman on |
7 |
| October 13, 1940, in DeSoto, Missouri; he preceded her in death |
8 |
| on June 12, 1998; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She had been a Past Worthy Matron for Wood River |
10 |
| Order of Eastern Star 1062, a member of the Airstream Travel |
11 |
| Trailer Club, and longtime member of the First Baptist Church |
12 |
| of East Alton; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Vroman was the first elected female school |
14 |
| board member of the East Alton School District, serving two |
15 |
| terms, and was president for six years; she served a term on |
16 |
| the Illinois School Board; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Rhea Vroman has been deeply felt by |
18 |
| many, especially her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and |
19 |
| Darrell Waters; her grandchildren and their spouses, Evan and |
20 |
| Michelle Waters, Christopher and Jill Seifert, Alma and Cory |
21 |
| Boss, and Kara and Mike Siebe; her great-grandchildren, |
22 |
| Brianna, Madelyn, and Ethan Waters, and Annalee Seifert; and |
23 |
| her sister, Renolla Coe; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
26 |
| Rhea G. Vroman, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
28 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
