| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Janet Eisenberg of Waukegan |
4 |
| on Monday, April 25, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born in Waukegan, the youngest daughter of |
6 |
| Samuel and Dora (nee Siegle) Eisenberg of Eisenberg's |
7 |
| Department Store; her early education was in the Waukegan |
8 |
| School System, and she graduated from North School and Waukegan |
9 |
| Township High School; she was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of |
10 |
| Northwestern University; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, She was a teacher for many years, teaching in the |
12 |
| Waukegan School System and the Highland Park School System; she |
13 |
| was also a Professor of French at the University of Illinois, |
14 |
| Chicago Circle Campus; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Eisenberg had many hobbies; she was an |
16 |
| accomplished pianist and teacher of piano and a linguist, who |
17 |
| spoke several languages; after retirement, she spent her |
18 |
| winters in Paris, France, where she had many friends; she had |
19 |
| also traveled all over the world; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, She was loved and will be deeply missed by all of |
21 |
| her family and friends, especially her sister, Rose Eisenberg |
22 |
| Richmon; her nieces and nephews, Judith Richmon Torrez, Dr. |
23 |
| Joel Samuel Richmon, Kathy Baum, James Baum, Deborah Eisenberg, |
24 |
| and David Eisenberg; her other nieces and nephews; and her |
25 |
| great-niece and great-nephew; she was preceded in death by her |
26 |
| parents; her sister, Sylvia Baum; and her brothers, Dr. George |
27 |
| Eisenberg and Julius Eisenberg; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
30 |
| Janet Eisenberg, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
