| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Stanley F. Pyktel of Park |
4 |
| City, formerly of North Chicago, on April 14, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Pyktel was born May 7, 1915, in Waukegan, and |
6 |
| remained a lifelong resident of the area; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World |
8 |
| War II in the Pacific; he worked at Oakes Products (Hudiel |
9 |
| Hershey), followed by Abbott Laboratories for 22 years, until |
10 |
| he retired in 1981; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He served as Alderman of North Chicago for 20 |
12 |
| years and was a current member of the Knights of Columbus 731, |
13 |
| American Legion Sharvin Post 397 of North Chicago, and the |
14 |
| North Chicago Seniors Club; he was an avid gardener and enjoyed |
15 |
| fishing and golf; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph |
17 |
| and Edward Pyktel; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Stanley F. Pyktel is felt by all |
19 |
| who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 63 years, Julia |
20 |
| (nee Pencak) Pyktel; his daughters, Joanne (Mike) Christensen, |
21 |
| Darlene (Larry) Boegen, and Karen (Gary) Wamboldt; his |
22 |
| grandchildren, Tami, Michael, Ricki Lynn, Dawn, Lauren, and |
23 |
| John; his great-grandchildren, Rick and Christen; and his |
24 |
| sister, Florence Gilewski; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
27 |
| Stanley F. Pyktel and extend our sincerest condolences to his |
28 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
