| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Bob Marshall of Marion on |
4 |
| July 9, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Marshall was born in Oakland, California, on |
6 |
| May 8, 1952, to Charles Robert and Jean Porter Marshall; he |
7 |
| married Necie Cooper on July 23, 1980, in New Madrid, Missouri; |
8 |
| and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, He was a graduate of East Prairie High School in |
10 |
| East Prairie, Missouri, and the University of |
11 |
| Missouri-Columbia, where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho |
12 |
| fraternity; he was an agriculture seed salesman; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of |
14 |
| Marion and was a coach for the Marion Youth Baseball |
15 |
| Association; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Bob Marshall is felt by all who |
17 |
| knew and loved him, especially his wife, Necie; his sons, |
18 |
| Jonathan and Kyle Marshall; his daughter, Shonna Slaughter; his |
19 |
| parents; his brother, Steve Marshall; his sister and |
20 |
| brother-in-law, Debbie and Steve Glenn; his half-brother, Jack |
21 |
| Jewell; his brothers-in-law and their spouses, Jim and Helen |
22 |
| Cooper, William C. (Buddy) and Toni Cooper, and Andy and Abbie |
23 |
| Cooper; and his sister-in-law and her husband, Rita and Marty |

| Jackson; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |

| Bob Marshall and extend our sincerest condolences to his |

| family, friends, and community; and be it further
