| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of William T. "Pete" Wallace |
4 |
| of Herrin on July 17, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Wallace was born August 22, 1925, to Willie T. |
6 |
| and Zetta Elva (Johnson) Wallace; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to |
8 |
| 1946; he married Alice "Jayne" Weaver on February 24, 1945, in |
9 |
| Osceloa, Arkansas; he was a member of Hurricane Memorial |
10 |
| Baptist Church for many years; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and one |
12 |
| sister, Eve Sturm; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of William Wallace is felt by all who |
14 |
| knew and loved him, especially his two daughters, Gwen "Susie" |
15 |
| Kelley and Kelly Skelly; his son and daughter-in-law, Greg |
16 |
| Wallace and Denise Coon; his sister, Gloria Anderson; and his |
17 |
| five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be |
18 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
20 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our most |
21 |
| sincere regret at the passing of William Wallace and extend our |
22 |
| condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it |
23 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
25 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
26 |
| sympathy.
