| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Ruth Perrine of |
4 |
| Carterville on July 11, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Perrine was born April 21, 1912, in |
6 |
| Carterville, to Moody and Grace (Farmer) Hindman; she married |
7 |
| Nathan G. Perrine on February 4, 1934; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, |
9 |
| and grandmother; she played the piano beautifully, loved making |
10 |
| quilts and working in her roses, thoroughly enjoyed her church |
11 |
| and Sunday school, and was blessed with a wonderful sense of |
12 |
| humor; she dearly loved her grandchildren and |
13 |
| great-grandchildren and had a special fondness for the children |
14 |
| in her church; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of Carterville First Methodist |
16 |
| Church, where she was a part of the Betsy Ross Class and later |
17 |
| became a part of the Climbers Class; she was a 50-year member |
18 |
| of Order of Eastern Star, Flower City Chapter in Springfield, |
19 |
| of which she was a Past Matron and a member of Daughter of the |
20 |
| Nile in Springfield; she was an honorary member of the Rip |
21 |
| Roarin Reds Chapter of Red Hat Society in Carterville; and
|
22 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, her |
23 |
| parents, and her brothers, Loren Hindman and Milo Hindman; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Ruth Perrine is felt by all who |
25 |
| knew and loved her, especially her daughter, Judith Ann Ambler; |
26 |
| her grandsons, Steven Ambler and wife Sally and Brandon Ambler |
27 |
| and wife Vickie; her great-grandsons, Nathaniel Ambler and |
28 |
| Gabriel Ambler; her nephew, Dr. Travis Hindman; and her special |
29 |
| cousin, Bill Beasley and wife Bette; therefore, be it
