| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Johnye Elizabeth Dehnbostel |
4 |
| of Benton on July 2, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on July 25, 1919, in Benton to John |
6 |
| and Fleta (Wilson) Veal; her father, John, preceded her in |
7 |
| death in February before she was born in July; Jess Pearson |
8 |
| became her loving dad when he and her mother were married in |
9 |
| 1922; her parents and two brothers, Thomas Veal and Donald |
10 |
| Pearson, and her sons-in-law, Jerry Stafko and Max Brandman, |
11 |
| preceded her in death; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, She married Henry Dehnbostel on February 22, 1927; |
13 |
| they have three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jerry |
14 |
| Becker, Janis and David Cox, and Julie and Mike Garrett; three |
15 |
| grandchildren, Lance Stafko and Natalie, Elizabeth, and Trey |
16 |
| Garrett; and one great-granddaughter, Allyson Stafko; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Dehnbostel retired as office nurse for Dr. |
18 |
| S.A. Khan in Benton; she was a longtime member of Valier United |
19 |
| Methodist Church where she was treasured for 25 years; |
20 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Johnye Elizabeth Dehnbostel, and we extend our sincere |
24 |
| condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
25 |
| her; and be it further
|
26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
28 |
| sympathy.
