SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Christopher "Chris" Dwyer
4 of McHenry on May 18, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Dwyer was born December 24, 1951, in Chicago
6 to George and Mary (Dixon) Dwyer; he married Marianne Bartoli
7 on September 18, 1976, in Chicago; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He served four years on active duty in the U.S.
9 Coast Guard and seven more years on reserve duty; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was a firefighter/paramedic for the City of
11 Evanston from 1992 until he retired in 2005; he also
12 volunteered as a paramedic for the McHenry Township Fire
13 Protection District from 1988 to 1995, serving as a training
14 officer for two years; and
 
15     WHEREAS, From 1979 to 1992, Mr. Dwyer owned and operated
16 the Prop Shop in Fox Lake; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in
18 Johnsburg; he served as a union steward and was a member of the
19 Fire Fighters Local 742 for over eight years; and
 
20     WHEREAS, He will be remembered as a loving, caring,
21 family-oriented person who touched the lives of everyone who
22 knew him; he was a member of the ski patrol at Grand Geneva and
23 Wilmot Mountain Resort; he loved boating and especially enjoyed
24 the beaches while vacationing in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico; and
 
25     WHEREAS, The passing of Christopher "Chris" Dwyer is felt
26 by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 28 years,
27 Marianne; his children, Kevin and Kerry Dwyer; his mother, Mary
28 Jo Dwyer; and his sisters, Patricia (Robert) Clem and Constance

1 Vavrinek; he was preceded in death by his father, George
2 Patrick Dwyer, and a brother, Thomas James Dwyer; therefore, be
3 it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6 Christopher "Chris" Dwyer and we join his family, friends, and
7 community in remembering his many years of courageous and
8 dedicated service; and be it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
11 sympathy.
