| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of James R. Halloran of |
4 |
| Godfrey on May 26, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Halloran was born October 5, 1925, in Alton, |
6 |
| the son of John and Vera (Reilley) Halloran; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, On November 26, 1955, he married June Stolle at |
8 |
| St. Patrick's Church in East St. Louis; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Halloran was a lifelong resident of the Alton |
10 |
| area, where he owned Halloran Auto Sales; he was a veteran and |
11 |
| served with the United States Navy; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in |
13 |
| Alton, the Eagles Lodge FOE 205 of Alton, the American Legion |
14 |
| Post 794, and the V.F.W. Post 1308; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Halloran was preceded in death by his son, |
16 |
| John William Halloran; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of James R. Halloran is felt by all |
18 |
| who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 49 years, June |
19 |
| Halloran; his daughters, Molly Reilly and husband Joe; Jean |
20 |
| Adolf and husband Bernie; and Katie Dixon and husband Craig; |
21 |
| his son, James R. Halloran, Jr., and wife Susy; his 11 |
22 |
| grandchildren; and his sisters, June Springman and Rosemary |
23 |
| Romanow; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |

| James R. Halloran and extend our sincerest condolences to his |

| family, friends, and community; and be it further
