| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Ronald Myatt of West |
4 |
| Frankfort on Monday, May 16, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on December 25, 1919, in Castleford, |
6 |
| England, to Arthur and Alice (Hutchinson) Myatt; he married |
7 |
| Margaret Campbell on June 13, 1938, in West Frankfort; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Myatt valiantly served his country during |
9 |
| World War II in the U.S. Army's 1st Battalion (Fightin' First), |
10 |
| 222nd Infantry, 42nd (Rainbow) Division; and |
11 |
| WHEREAS, He was a coal miner for 47 years, working as a |
12 |
| motorman for the Old Ben, Orient, and Freeman Mines; he was a |
13 |
| member of the UMWA; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Ronald Myatt has been deeply felt |
15 |
| by many, especially his wife, Margaret; his sons, Ronald Myatt |
16 |
| and wife Elizabeth and Barry Myatt and wife Sherry; his nine |
17 |
| grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren; he was |
18 |
| preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert; his brother, |
19 |
| Arthur; and his baby sister; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
22 |
| Ronald Myatt, and we extend our sincerest condolences to his |
23 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
24 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
26 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
27 |
| sympathy.
