SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Anne Marie Salmo, formerly
4 of Herrin, on Saturday, May 7, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mrs. Salmo was born on May 8, 1912, in Herrin to
6 Angelo and Felicita (DeBernardi) Merlo; she graduated from
7 Herrin High School and worked at Woolworth's, the Lymar Hotel,
8 and the Club Lido before her marriage; she married Angelo J.
9 Salmo on July 27, 1940; and
 
10     WHEREAS, She was an avid music lover and pianist and was
11 living in Watertown, Massachusetts, with her daughter and
12 son-in-law; and
 
13     WHEREAS, The passing of Anne Marie Salmo has been deeply
14 felt by many, especially her son, Franco Salmoiraghi; her
15 daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Salmo Hecker and her husband
16 John; her grandchildren, Liz Noetzel, Miguel Salmoiraghi,
17 Shinji Salmoiraghi, and Kenji Salmoiraghi; her
18 great-grandchildren, Karly Noetzel and Isaiah Salmoiraghi; her
19 nieces, Phyllis Ditto and Carol Murray; her nephew, John Lee
20 Marlow; her sisters-in-law, Bobbie Marlow and Marie Marlow; and
21 her caregiver and companion, Carol Bolli; she was preceded in
22 death by her beloved husband, Angelo J. Salmo, and her parents;
23 therefore, be it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
26 Anne Marie Salmo, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
27 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
28 further
 
29     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
