| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Ed Anderson of Norris City |
4 |
| on May 19, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was born December 5, 1950, in Norris |
6 |
| City, the son of Thomas Lewis and Harriet
(Carter) Anderson; |
7 |
| and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He married Sarah Jane Brenner on July 29, 1978; |
9 |
| and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, He was head of maintenance for Platolene 500 |
11 |
| throughout the Tri-State, and also farmed; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, where |
13 |
| he served as a medic with the Special Forces from 1970 until |
14 |
| 1978; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was a member of First Southern |
16 |
| Baptist Church in Norris City; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Ed Anderson is felt by all who knew |
18 |
| and loved him, especially his wife of 26 years, Sarah; his |
19 |
| mother, Harriet Crocker; his brother and sister-in-law, Nick |
20 |
| and Cathy Anderson; his sister-in-law and her husband, Becky |
21 |
| and Ben Kirk; his nieces, Jennifer Lynn and husband Rick, and |
22 |
| Jennifer E. and Kimberly Ann Kirk; and his nephew, Wesley B. |

| Kirk; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
26 |
| Ed Anderson and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, |
27 |
| friends, and community; and be it further
