SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Thelma Robertson of Marion
4 on Friday, May 13, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mrs. Robertson was born on September 6, 1916, in
6 Williamson County to John Logan and Garvie (Jarrett) Deaton;
7 she married Raymond Boyd, who became a minister in Southern
8 Illinois, and after his death she continued his ministry; she
9 later married Ralph Robertson, and he preceded her in death;
10 and
 
11     WHEREAS, Mrs. Robertson was a member of the First Apostolic
12 Church in Marion; she retired from the Anna State Hospital,
13 where she worked in the Dietary Department; she loved to read
14 and entertain family and friends; she was loved by all and will
15 be missed; and
 
16     WHEREAS, The passing of Thelma Robertson has been deeply
17 felt by many, especially her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev.
18 John and Alice Boyd; daughters and son-in-law, Connie Gerhardt
19 and LaDonna and Lowell Dryden; her grandchildren, Gary and
20 Cristine Cosby, Sherry Ray, Kimberly and Greg Steinsultz, Mark
21 and Belynda Boyd, Dena and Tim Gault, and Marti and Pete Craig;
22 her 16 great-grandchildren; her four
23 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters and brother-in-law,
24 Ella and Marion Bush and Pauline Camden; her sisters-in-law,
25 Francis Jourdan and Florene Deaton; her granddaughter-in-law,
26 Kathleen Taylor; and her second husband's children, Bruce and
27 Larry Robertson, and their children; she was preceded in death
28 by her parents; her husbands; her daughter, Dorothy Boyd; her
29 grandson, Steven Boyd; and her brothers, Herbert, Horace, and
30 Herman Deaton; therefore, be it
 
31     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2 Thelma Robertson, and we extend our sincerest condolences to
3 her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
4 further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
7 sympathy.
