| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with sadness of the death of Audrey L. Elmendorf of |
4 |
| Alton on Friday, March 11, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born November 28, 1929, in Alton to Lynn |
6 |
| O. and Iona M. (Ernst) Wood; she married Raymond E. "Gene" |
7 |
| Elmendorf on February 4, 1950, in Alton; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Elmendorf was a homemaker and attended |
9 |
| Abundant Life Community Church in Alton; throughout her life, |
10 |
| she was active in her church and was devoted to her family and |
11 |
| friends; she loved to garden; she attended Central Bible |
12 |
| College in Springfield, Missouri; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Audrey L. Elmendorf has been deeply |
14 |
| felt by many, especially her husband, Raymond E. "Gene"; her |
15 |
| sons and daughters-in-law, John and Teresa Elmendorf and Paul |
16 |
| and Rhonda Elmendorf; her daughters and a son-in-law, Yvonne |
17 |
| Elmendorf and Sarah and Edward Gillis Jr.; her grandchildren, |
18 |
| Alex Rabozzi, Anthony Rabozzi, Jason Elmendorf, Jessica |
19 |
| Elmendorf, Jarrid Stairs, Cammie Stairs, Dylan Elmendorf, Max |
20 |
| Elmendorf, Dex Elmendorf, Emily Gillis, and Ethan Gillis; her |
21 |
| great-grandchild, Alayna Rabozzi; her brother, Herman Best; |
22 |
| and her sisters, Mary Williams and Grace Worthy; she was |
23 |
| preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joseph Elmendorf; |
24 |
| and seven brothers and sisters; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |

| Audrey L. Elmendorf, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her |
28 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
