| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of State of Illinois |

| learned with sadness of the death of Steven "Steve" W. Whisler |
4 |
| of Sheffield on Tuesday, March 8, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on September 8, 1947, in Muscatine, |
6 |
| Iowa, to Woodrow and Dorothy (Standfield) Whisler; he married |
7 |
| Joyce Petersen on January 30, 1972; he later married Patricia |
8 |
| Goffrier on September 8, 2001, in Sheffield; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Whisler was a 1966 graduate of Western High |
10 |
| School in Sheffield; he served his country as a member of the |
11 |
| U.S. Army and was a welder for Hyster/BOMAG for 37 years; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, A member of the First United Church of Christ in |
13 |
| Sheffield, the passing of Steven "Steve" W. Whisler has been |
14 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Patricia; his mother, |
15 |
| Dorothy; his son, Matthew Whisler; his daughter, Michele (Marc) |
16 |
| Mongan; his stepchildren, Teresa (Emri) Huseini, Michelle |
17 |
| (Gary) Moore, Jeremy Goffrier, and Gretchen (Jose) Pereda; his |
18 |
| sister, Cheryl Taplin; his grandchildren, Taylor Austin Steele |
19 |
| and Kody Alan Mongan; his step-grandchildren, Ardina and Suzana |
20 |
| Huseini, Kassandre Verschage, John Moore, and Mikaela Pereda; |
21 |
| he was preceded in death by his father and grandparents; |

| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
25 |
| Steven "Steve" W. Whisler, and we extend our deepest sympathy |
26 |
| to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be |
27 |
| it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
29 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincere |

| condolences.
