| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Gloria (Meling) Mason of |
| 4 |
| South Ottawa Township on Tuesday, December 21, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Mason was born on June 22, 1941, in Ottawa to |
| 6 |
| Truman L. and Betty (Breitenkamp) Meling; she married Arthur |
| 7 |
| Mason on December 30, 1962, in the Evangelical United Methodist |
| 8 |
| Church in Ottawa; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was an R.N. and had been employed by the |
| 10 |
| LaSalle County Health Department for many years; she was a |
| 11 |
| member of First United Methodist Church and the LaSalle County |
| 12 |
| Home Extension Handy Homemakers; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She is remembered as a loving woman, who was |
| 14 |
| devoted to her family and gave to everybody; she continued to |
| 15 |
| give even in her death by being an organ donor; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Gloria Mason has been deeply felt |
| 17 |
| by many, especially her husband, Arthur; her mother, Betty |
| 18 |
| Meling; her daughter, Leanne (Jim) Falbo; her sons, Matt |
| 19 |
| (Laura) Mason, Mark (Diane) Mason, and Joe (Jan) Mason; her |
| 20 |
| grandchildren, Dan and Jonathan Roesler, Anna, Sarah, Tess, |
| 21 |
| Justus, Julia, and Joshua Mason; her brothers, Dr. Gary (Joyce) |
| 22 |
| Meling, Dr. David (Judy) Meling, and Robert Meling; and her |
| 23 |
| sister, Merrilee (Jerry) Lubshina; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 26 |
| Gloria Mason, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
