| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of John P. "Jack" Driscoll of |
4 |
| Peoria on Wednesday, January 26, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on November 29, 1927, in Peoria to |
6 |
| Joseph E. and Antoinette "Toni" Sheehan Driscoll; he married |
7 |
| Antoinette "Toni" Basic on June 14, 1952, in Chicago; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Driscoll valiantly served his country as a |
9 |
| member of the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1945 to 1948 |
10 |
| and during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He received a bachelor's degree in business |
12 |
| administration from Bradley University in 1953 and was a member |
13 |
| of the Bradley Chiefs Club; he worked in the sales department |
14 |
| at Wilkins Pipe & Supply Co. in Peoria from 1957 until retiring |
15 |
| in 1991; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Driscoll was a member of St. Vincent de Paul |
17 |
| Catholic Church in Peoria and was a third degree member of the |
18 |
| Knights of Columbus, Spalding Council 427; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of John P. "Jack" Driscoll has been |
20 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Toni; his daughter, |
21 |
| Kathleen (and George) Coker; his sons, Joseph and Timothy (and |
22 |
| Julie); his brother, Jerry "Deacon" (and Eleanor); and his four |
23 |
| grandchildren; therefore, be it |
24 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
26 |
| John P. "Jack" Driscoll, and we extend our deepest sympathy to |
27 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
28 |
