| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with great sadness of the death of Frank Griseto of |
4 |
| Downers Grove on Friday, December 5, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Griseto was born in Italy and came to the |
6 |
| United States as a child; he never lost his ability to speak |
7 |
| Italian; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He valiantly served his country during the Vietnam |
9 |
| War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, North |
10 |
| Riverside Post 6869; he often visited schools to talk about his |
11 |
| military service; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Griseto had been a DuPage County sheriff's |
13 |
| deputy since October of 2003; he also was a part-time fitness |
14 |
| instructor at the Indian Boundary YMCA in Downers Grove and had |
15 |
| previously worked at AT&T; he also taught karate for children |
16 |
| and self-defense for adults; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, Respected and well-liked by all who knew him, Mr. |
18 |
| Griseto is remembered for his good heart and generosity; he |
19 |
| enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and was a member of a riding |
20 |
| club that was composed of Chicago-area law enforcement |
21 |
| officers; he lost his life doing two things that he enjoyed, |
22 |
| riding his Harley and helping out kids by participating in the |
23 |
| Toys for Tots parade; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Frank J. Griseto has been deeply |
25 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Gloria; his mother, Sandra; |
26 |
| his sister, Julia (James) Wrobleski; his nephews, James Jr. and |
27 |
| Joseph Wrobleski; and his niece, Mylinda Viola; therefore, be |
28 |
| it |
