Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that any physician assistant who has been delegated the authority to conduct examinations under the Code by his or her supervising physician and any advanced practice nurse who has a written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician that authorizes the advanced practice nurse to conduct examinations under the Code is a medical examiner or medical practitioner. Effective immediately.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing |

| Section 6-901 as follows:
|

| Sec. 6-901. Definitions. For the purposes of this
Article:

| "Board" means the Driver's License Medical Advisory Board.
|

| "Medical examiner" or "medical practitioner" means any

| person licensed to practice medicine in all its branches in
the |
11 |
| State of Illinois , any physician assistant who has been |
12 |
| delegated the authority to conduct examinations under this Code |
13 |
| by his or her supervising physician, or any advanced practice |
14 |
| nurse who has a written collaborative agreement with a |
15 |
| collaborating physician that authorizes the advanced practice |
16 |
| nurse to conduct examinations under this Code .
