| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2257

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2257 on page 1, by |

| replacing lines 21 through 26 with the following:

| "directed by the State Superintendent of Education. If a child |
| 5 |
| who was eligible to receive services under this Section is |
| 6 |
| eligible for the subsidized adoption program available through |
| 7 |
| the Department of Children and Family Services and is adopted |
| 8 |
| and continues to receive support services from the Department |
| 9 |
| of Children and Family Services, then the child shall continue |
| 10 |
| to be eligible to receive services under this Section and the |
| 11 |
| school district shall continue to be reimbursed under this |
| 12 |
| Section. The changes made to this Section by this amendatory |
| 13 |
| Act of the 94th General Assembly apply only to eligible |
| 14 |
| children adopted on or after August 1, 2005.".
