| AN ACT concerning criminal law.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by changing
|

| Section 16B-2.1 as follows:
|

A person commits criminal mutilation or vandalism of |

| library materials
when he knowingly tears, marks on, |

| maliciously renders imperfect or

otherwise damages or |

| destroys library materials.
