SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
720 ILCS 5/12-21.7 new

    Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Prohibits the sale of yo-yo waterballs in the State. Provides that a violation is a business offense punishable by a $1,001 fine for each violation. Provides that each sale of a yo-yo waterball is a separate offense.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding
5 Section 12-21.7 as follows:
 
6     (720 ILCS 5/12-21.7 new)
7     Sec. 12-21.7. Sale of yo-yo waterballs prohibited.
8     (a) It is unlawful to sell a yo-yo waterball in this State.
9     (b) Sentence. A person who sells a yo-yo waterball in this
10 State is guilty of a business offense punishable by a fine of
11 $1,001 for each violation. Each sale of a yo-yo waterball in
12 violation of this Section is a separate violation.
13     (c) Definition. In this Section, "yo-yo waterball" means a
14 water yo-yo or a soft, rubber-like ball that is filled with a
15 liquid and is attached to an elastic cord.
