| AN ACT concerning criminal law.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. "An Act concerning criminal law, which may be |
| 5 |
| referred to as the Patrick Leahy Law", approved August 8, 2005, |
| 6 |
| (Public Act 94-487) is amended by adding Section 99 as follows:
|

| (P.A. 94-487, Sec. 99 new)
|

| Sec. 99. Effective date. This Act (Public Act 94-487) takes |
| 9 |
| effect on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th |
| 10 |
| General Assembly (Senate Bill 1943 of the 94th General |
| 11 |
| Assembly).
|
| 12 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 |
| becoming law.
