| AN ACT concerning civil law.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Mechanics Lien Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 6 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 6. In no event shall it be necessary to fix or |
| 8 |
| stipulate in any
contract a time for the
the completion or a |
| 9 |
| time for payment in order to obtain
a lien under this act, |
| 10 |
| provided, that the work is done or material
furnished within |
| 11 |
| three years from the commencement of said work or the
|
| 12 |
| commencement of furnishing said material. |
