Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires the Department of Human Services, in cooperation with the Department of Public Health, to develop materials and resources on nutritional health for new TANF, Food Stamp, and early intervention program enrollees. Requires the Department of Public Health to develop a video presentation on nutritional health. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning public aid.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 12-13.4 as follows:
|

| Sec. 12-13.4. Materials on nutritional health. The |
| 8 |
| Department of Human Services, in cooperation with the |
| 9 |
| Department of Public Health, shall develop materials and |
| 10 |
| resources on nutritional health for distribution to new |
| 11 |
| enrollees in the TANF program under Article IV, the Food Stamp |
| 12 |
| program, and the early intervention program under the Early |
| 13 |
| Intervention Services System Act. The Department of Public |
| 14 |
| Health shall develop a video presentation on nutritional health |
| 15 |
| to be shown to new enrollees in the TANF program under Article |
| 16 |
| IV, the Food Stamp program, and the early intervention program |
| 17 |
| under the Early Intervention Services System Act. The |
| 18 |
| Department of Human Services shall develop the materials and |
| 19 |
| resources within 6 months after the effective date of this |
| 20 |
| amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly and shall provide |
| 21 |
| those materials and resources to all persons who enroll in the |
| 22 |
| TANF program, the Food Stamp program, or the early intervention |
| 23 |
| program after the materials and resources are developed.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 25 |
| becoming law.
