| AN ACT concerning criminal law.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Abandoned Refrigerator Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 1 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (720 ILCS 505/1) (from Ch. 23, par. 2356)

| Sec. 1. Whoever abandons or discards in any place |
| 8 |
| accessible to children
any refrigerator, icebox or ice chest, |
| 9 |
| of a capacity of one and
and one-half
cubic feet or more, which |
| 10 |
| has an attached lid or door which may be opened
or fastened |
| 11 |
| shut by means of an attached latch, or who, being the owner,
|
| 12 |
| lessee, or manager of such place, knowingly permits such |
| 13 |
| abandoned or
discarded refrigerator, icebox or ice chest to |
| 14 |
| remain there in such
condition, shall be guilty of a Class C |
| 15 |
| misdemeanor. |
