| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Jean M. Fletcher |
4 |
| on the
occasion of her retirement after 25 years of service as
|
5 |
| an Assistant State's Attorney for the 16th Judicial Circuit in |
6 |
| Kendall County, Yorkville, IL; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, In 1981 she was admitted to the Illinois Bar and |
8 |
| also the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois |
9 |
| General Bar; in 1987 she was admitted to the U.S. District |
10 |
| Court, Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, She has spent her career prosecuting criminal |
12 |
| offenses in a wide variety of areas; she has prosecuted felony |
13 |
| crimes, misdemeanors crimes, juvenile violators, traffic |
14 |
| violations, child pornography cyber crimes, and elder |
15 |
| financial exploitation and disabled adult abuse; she has also |
16 |
| worked in the area of child support enforcement and paternity |
17 |
| establishment; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, She has also dedicated much of her career to |
19 |
| training others and devising strategies to further prosecute |
20 |
| and reduce crime; she has trained new Assistant State's |
21 |
| Attorneys, provided orientation of new Sherif's Department |
22 |
| Deputies, trained domestic violence and sexual assault |
23 |
| volunteers, supervised and evaluated law school student |
24 |
| interns and international law student interns, collaborated on |
25 |
| the initial mandated Child Advocacy Protocol for Kendall |
26 |
| County, developed multi-disciplinary response protocol |
27 |
| targeting domestic violence, collaborated on the revision of |
28 |
| the Illinois Juvenile Court Act, and trained Illinois |
29 |
| Department of Children and Family Services caseworkers; and
|
30 |
| WHEREAS, She also spent a considerable amount of time |
31 |
| furthering her own education and training to better prosecute |
