| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are |
| 3 |
| pleased to recognize Christine M. Villarreal of Indian Head |
| 4 |
| Park as she enters into military service; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Villarreal spent one year in the Civil Air |
| 6 |
| Patrol and achieved the grade of Cadet Master Sergeant; she was |
| 7 |
| on Color Guard with Bugles Across America and served on the |
| 8 |
| Theatre Board at Lyons Township High School; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, An excellent student, she was on the honor roll |
| 10 |
| every semester from fifth to twelfth grade; she won the Robert |
| 11 |
| F. Coulter American Legion Post 1941 Leadership Award at her |
| 12 |
| eighth grade graduation; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She has been active in her community, volunteering |
| 14 |
| at LaGrange Memorial Hospital in Lab Radiology; she served as |
| 15 |
| an acolyte and was a member of the youth group at St. John's |
| 16 |
| Lutheran Church in LaGrange; she danced ballet for five years |
| 17 |
| and assisted in teaching classes; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Villarreal had the honor of serving as |
| 19 |
| personal escort for Retired Major-General Irene Trowell |
| 20 |
| Harris, when the Major-General was in Chicago attending a |
| 21 |
| conference on women in the military; and
|
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, Christine M. Villarreal has chosen to serve our |
| 23 |
| country by entering the United States Air Force; therefore, be |
| 24 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 26 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 27 |
| we wish Ms. Villarreal the best as she enters into military |
| 28 |
| service, and we thank her for her willingness to serve our |
| 29 |
