| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to recognize |
| 3 |
| significant milestones in the lives of the people of this |
| 4 |
| State; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Alberta Alice |
| 6 |
| Ewart of Greenup is celebrating the 100th anniversary of her |
| 7 |
| birth; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Ewart was born on May 4, 1906, in Greenup, |
| 9 |
| where she has lived her entire life; she graduated from Greenup |
| 10 |
| High School and Millikin University with a degree in teaching; |
| 11 |
| and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Following graduation from Millikin University, |
| 13 |
| she taught school at Greenup grade school; she taught full-time |
| 14 |
| and as a substitute teacher for over 40 years; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Alberta married Herman D. Ewart on August 9, 1925; |
| 16 |
| he passed away on April 29, 1988; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Ewart has been a lifelong member of Greenup |
| 18 |
| Presbyterian Church and was active in several civic |
| 19 |
| organizations; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, She is the proud mother of two sons, Howard and |
| 21 |
| Jim; she is the grandmother of six and great-grandmother of |
| 22 |
| eight; and
|
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, A reception will be held in her honor on Saturday, |
| 24 |
| May 6, 2006; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
