| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, Apostle Florida M. Jackson is the pastor of |
3 |
| Evangelistic Outreach Deliverance Ministry #1 in Chicago, #3 in |
4 |
| Bolingbrook, and overseer of several others; for over a decade, |
5 |
| she has served as a licensed foster parent working with special |
6 |
| needs children, some with medical disabilities; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Jackson is the CEO of Johnnia and Katie |
8 |
| Stevens/Mary and Bo Jackson Outreach Services in Sardis, |
9 |
| Mississippi; Youth of Outreach Daycare Center in Sardis, |
10 |
| Mississippi; Johnnia and Katie Stevens Home Health Care, Inc., |
11 |
| in Chicago; Outreach Family Services and Community Center in |
12 |
| Chicago; and Youth of Outreach in Chicago; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, She accepted the call to be an evangelist in 1985 |
14 |
| and worked faithfully in the ministry as a dedicated youth |
15 |
| counselor/trainer, which required that she train and counsel |
16 |
| young people who were imprisoned, homeless, hopeless, or |
17 |
| underprivileged; the training she provided consisted of coping |
18 |
| strategies, encouragement to pursue higher education, |
19 |
| instilling in them the principles of Christianity, and the |
20 |
| motivation they needed to lead a successful natural and |
21 |
| Christian life; and
|
22 |
| WHEREAS, In June of 1990, she accepted the call to be |
23 |
| ordained as the Pastor of the Evangelistic Outreach Deliverance |
24 |
| Ministry; in 1993, she had the vision to open a community |
25 |
| center that served not only youth, but the entire family; and
|
26 |
| WHEREAS, She received a Doctor of Divinity degree in August |
27 |
| of 2003; she has three adopted children now over the age of 18, |
28 |
| one adopted miracle daughter, Johnnia, and another adopted |
29 |
| daughter that is age 17; she is the grandmother of Devin, |
30 |
| Jennifer, Jeannette, Jamese Florida, and Darin and has been |
31 |
| married for 31 years to Elder Rufus Jackson; therefore, be it
