HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of
4 Henry R. Flemming of Chicago on December 31, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Flemming was born on November 14, 1936, to
6 John Flemming Sr., and Carrie Goodlaw Flemming; and
 
7     WHEREAS, He accepted Christ in his life at an early age, in
8 Newport, Arkansas, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church; he served in the
9 army from 1955 to 1957 after which he moved to Chicago and
10 worked a variety of jobs; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Mr. Flemming was known for his goodness towards
12 others, giving whatever he had to help out; he was generous,
13 well-liked, and a friend to many; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Henry Flemming was preceded in death by his mother
15 and father; his brothers, Nathan Hensley, and John Flemming
16 Jr.; and his sisters Genevieve E. Johnson and Gladys B. Mays;
17 and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Henry Flemming has been deeply felt
19 by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Kiara
20 Flemming; his stepson, Timothy Williams; his stepdaughter
21 Renada Williams; his sisters Mary E. Wilson, Martha Coburn, and
22 Glen (James) Moore; his nephew and special caregiver, Robert,
23 and Gayle Coburn his wife; Barbara Reeves and Tedra Davis; and
24 a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be
25 it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we mourn the passing of Henry R. Flemming and extend our
29 sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community;

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
