| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the Boy |
3 |
| Scouts of
America can bestow upon a Scout is that of Eagle |
4 |
| Scout; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob Charles Carlson will
receive the Eagle Scout |
6 |
| Award at a Court of Honor;
and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young man |
8 |
| must
demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a |
9 |
| willingness to be of
help to others, and superior skills in |
10 |
| camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Jacob Carlson joins an |
12 |
| elite and
honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among |
13 |
| its members an
extraordinary
number of this nation's great |
14 |
| leaders in business, government, education,
and other sectors |
15 |
| of society; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob was born in Aurora on May 5, 1987, and is |
17 |
| the son of Rayanne Carlson; he has attended Dietrich |
18 |
| Elementary, Waldo Middle School, East Aurora High School, |
19 |
| Waubonsee Community College, and Columbia College; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, He is a musician and a singer and enjoys scouting, |
21 |
| his church, musical theater, drama, and sports; he was honored |
22 |
| with the Ted Brattin Civic Youth Award; his Eagle Scout project |
23 |
| involved a jazz band playing for a local retirement center; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout |
25 |
| reflects favorably
upon the recipient, his justly proud family, |
26 |
| his Scoutmaster, and his
fellow scouts; therefore, be it
