| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, It is the privilege of this Body to recognize |
| 3 |
| milestone events in the history of organizations in this State; |
| 4 |
| and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The Autism Society of Illinois was founded on |
| 6 |
| January 22, 1976, by parents of children with autism; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The Autism Society of Illinois is the State's |
| 8 |
| oldest and largest autism organization; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The mission of the Autism Society of Illinois is |
| 10 |
| to promote through advocacy, public awareness, education, and |
| 11 |
| research, lifelong access and opportunities for persons within |
| 12 |
| the autism spectrum disorder and their families in order that |
| 13 |
| they may be fully included, participating members of their |
| 14 |
| communities; therefore, be it
|
| 15 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 |
| we congratulate the Autism Society of Illinois on the occasion |
| 18 |
| of its 30th anniversary, and we commend the organization for |
| 19 |
| its work on behalf of individuals with autism and their |
| 20 |
| families; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 |
| presented to the Autism Society of Illinois as an expression of |
| 23 |
| our esteem.
