| WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the |

| cornerstones upon
which our society is built, and a marriage |
4 |
| that has achieved a notable
longevity is truly a model for the |
5 |
| people of the State of Illinois; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs. |
7 |
| Chester Mikrut
will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of their
|
8 |
| marriage at a celebration on Saturday, March 25, 2006; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Chester and Virginia Mikrut were
united in holy |
10 |
| matrimony on February 11, 1956, at the City Hall in Chicago; |
11 |
| and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Chester worked as a Receiving Clerk at Western |
13 |
| Electric for 38 years, and Virginia was employed at Sampson |
14 |
| Company doing office work for 22 years; Virginia enjoys |
15 |
| dancing, and Chester enjoys fishing; and |
16 |
| WHEREAS, Chester takes Virginia and her cousin, Angie |
17 |
| Molaro, to their neighborhood Senior Center at 61st and Kedzie, |
18 |
| where they meet with friends, do community work, and attend |
19 |
| dances; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, They are the parents of Sandra Staschke, |
21 |
| grandparents of John, Jeffrey, and Jason Zdebski, and the proud |
22 |
| great-grandparents of Brandon, who is the son of Jeffrey and |
23 |
| his wife, Wendy; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its |
25 |
| highest plateaus
when a couple such as Chester and Virginia |
26 |
| celebrate their golden
wedding anniversary; and
|
27 |
| WHEREAS, Chester and Virginia stand as examples of the best |
28 |
| of our
society, and their love and devotion to each other and |
