| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Joe D. |
4 |
| Montgomery of Danville on Wednesday, March 8, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on September 17, 1932, in Tilton to |
6 |
| Charles and Bessie Young Montgomery; he married Betty N. Ingram |
7 |
| on July 25, 1958, in Danville; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He retired from the State of Illinois Central |
9 |
| Management Division and later worked as a realtor with First |
10 |
| Reality in Danville; he was a member of the Catlin Church of |
11 |
| Christ and served as Republican County Chairman for ten years; |
12 |
| he enjoyed politics; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Joe D. Montgomery has been deeply |
14 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Betty; his son, Tony |
15 |
| (Valerie) Montgomery; his brother, Charles (Betty) Montgomery; |
16 |
| and his grandchildren, Kimberly, Amy, and Annie Montgomery; |
17 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
20 |
| we mourn the passing of Joe D. Montgomery, and we extend our |
21 |
| deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and |
22 |
| loved him; and be it further
|
23 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
24 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest |
25 |
| condolences.
