| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, Raynor Garage Doors, located in Dixon, was |
3 |
| recently honored as the Illinois Family Business of the Year by |
4 |
| the Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center; the |
5 |
| 61-year-old company won the award in the large business |
6 |
| category for companies having 250 or more employees; the award |
7 |
| recognizes Illinois-based family businesses that demonstrate a |
8 |
| strong commitment to both business and family; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Raynor Garage Door employs over 800 people; among |
10 |
| the factors considered for the award were positive |
11 |
| family/business linkage, multi-generational family business |
12 |
| involvement, contributions to industry and community, and |
13 |
| innovative family business practices and strategies; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Raynor Garage Doors began in 1944 in Quincy, when |
15 |
| Bill Norberg and Ray Neisewander began manufacturing sectional |
16 |
| overhead-type garage doors; the company moved to Dixon in 1946; |
17 |
| today, Raynor has 600 independent distributors throughout the |
18 |
| United States, Canada, and 60 other countries around the world; |
19 |
| and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, In recognition of this honor, Dixon Mayor Jim |
21 |
| Burke signed a proclamation declaring December 8th as "Raynor |
22 |
| Garage Door Day"; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
24 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
25 |
| we congratulate Raynor Garage Doors of Dixon on being named |
26 |
| Illinois Family Business of the Year by the Loyola University |
27 |
| Chicago Family Business Center; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to Raynor Garage Doors as an expression of our |

| esteem.
