| WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives is pleased |

| to recognize achievements of the citizens of the State of |
4 |
| Illinois; and
|

| WHEREAS, On October 29th, 2005, after a long weekend of |
6 |
| playing soccer, the Gibault Catholic High School boys varsity |
7 |
| soccer team, under the leadership of head coach, Jim Corsi, and |
8 |
| assistant coach, Chris Kazmierczak, earned the title of 2005 |
9 |
| Illinois High School Association Class A Boys Soccer Champions; |
10 |
| and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, On Friday, the Gibault Catholic High School Hawks |
12 |
| defeated Monticello 4-0, with goals by Brett Row, Brandon |
13 |
| Weilgus, Drew Nobbe, and Cody Mudd; Saturday morning, the Hawks |
14 |
| defeated Wheaton Academy 2-1, with goals by Zach Bement and |
15 |
| Tyler Crawford; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The championship game was the longest |
17 |
| championship game in State tournament history; after 4 |
18 |
| overtimes with neither team scoring, the game came down to |
19 |
| penalty kicks; the Hawks came out with a 5-4 victory after |
20 |
| Peter Ottolini, Tyler Beckerle, Drew Nobbe, Tyler Crawford, and |
21 |
| Jacob Conrad made their penalty kicks; and
|
22 |
| WHEREAS, Members of the team who participated in the |
23 |
| championship game included Tyler Beckerle, Zack Bement, Kevin |

| Brady, Jacob Conrad, Tyler Crawford, Jake Edwards, Bryan |

| Kennedy, Mike Kentch, Nathan Kremmel, Ryan Mercer, Curtis |

| Mericle, Cody Mudd, Jeremy Neff, Drew Nobbe, Peter Ottolini, |
