| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives congratulate Vincent and Patricia Schumacher |
| 4 |
| on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, A celebratory Mass will be held on December 17, |
| 6 |
| 2005 at Immaculate Conception Church in Highland Park to bless |
| 7 |
| their marriage of fifty years; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Vincent and Patricia Schumacher met in Chicago in |
| 9 |
| 1955, while he was in his senior year of Dental School at |
| 10 |
| Loyola University and she was a Nurse at Oak Park Hospital |
| 11 |
| training dental students at Loyola Dental School; they entered |
| 12 |
| into the bonds of holy matrimony on December 17, 1955 at |
| 13 |
| 10:30am at Resurrection Church, 5072 West Jackson Street, |
| 14 |
| Chicago, Illinois; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Vincent Schumacher served from 1956 to 1962 as a |
| 16 |
| captain in the U.S. Army, where he and Patricia discovered |
| 17 |
| their lifelong passion for travel;
after his tour in the |
| 18 |
| Service, they came back to the Chicagoland area and, in 1963, |
| 19 |
| settled in Highland Park, where they have remained to the |
| 20 |
| present day; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Vincent had a thriving dental practice in the City |
| 22 |
| of Chicago for more than four decades; Patricia is a Registered |
| 23 |
| Nurse, retiring after a 32-year career at Highland Park |
| 24 |
| Hospital;
they consider their greatest accomplishments to be |
| 25 |
| their six children; they
are the loving parents of Suzette, |
| 26 |
| Vincent, Dawn, Anthony, James, and Kimberly and the proud |
| 27 |
| grandparents of Michael, Ashley, Frank, and Justin; and
|
| 28 |
| WHEREAS, Vincent and Patricia have experienced fifty years |
| 29 |
| filled with love, friendship, confidence, integrity, and |
| 30 |
| respect; therefore, be it
